PENSACOLA.- The Pensacola Museum of Art presents the exhibit Annie Leibovitz: Women until July 15, 2006. Annie Leibovitz's portraits have been appearing in magazines for over twenty-five years. She started work as a photographer for Rolling Stone magazine and works for Vanity Fair and Vogue. Recently two of Leibovitz’s photographs, John Lennon and Yoko Ono (Rolling Stone) and Demi Moore (Vanity Fair), were chosen as the first and second place in the top magazine covers of the last forty years.

In 1999, the Corcoran Gallery of Art presented the exhibition Women, a celebration of the American woman at the dawn of a new millennium. Included are portraits of : an astronaut, scientists, farmers, musicians, showgirls, actresses, writers, athletes and political figures. Women who are well known are juxtaposed with unknown women whose sole notoriety is their impact on the lives of those around them.
