John Mellencamp Art for Sale in Bloomington



BLOOMINGTON.- The Tibetan Cultural Center is holding a Tibetan Art Fair: "Celebrating the Year of the Firedog" on Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 1 to 4 p.m at Deer Park Manor in Bloomington, Indiana. This dinner will feature a silent auction of signed prints by John Mellencamp. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are encouraged, but not required. The fair will feature a silent auction of the Kumbum Monastery Photography Exhibit. A group of 8 Tibetan teenage (4 boys; 4 girls) performers and three Tibetan adult performers from Chicago will be singing and dancing at the Tibetan Art Fair: "Year of the Fire Dog.". The name of their group is "Mt. Kailash Tibetan Cultural Troupe." In addition, there will be a variety of art works on display and for sale--including handcrafted jewely, imported Thai silks, and pottery. Refreshments will be served. In the evening Elaine Irwin Mellencamp will host a VIP Dinner at 6 p.m.
