NEWTONVILLE.- Art enthusiasts of the Greater Boston Area are warmly invited to Newton Open Studios, a celebration of Newton artists! Newton Open Studios is an annual community event, organized exclusively by the artists. It is held on the third weekend in May each year, noon to 5pm, and free to the public. Newton galleries and over 80 artists in their Newton homes or studios open their doors to show their work. Artists or gallery personnel are available to answer questions about the art. A wide variety of artwork, including (but not limited to) paintings, drawings, mixed media, photography, sculpture, glass and fabric art, are on display. Much of the exhibited work is for sale and at all price ranges. A brochure, complete with artists' names, addresses, a brief art note and map, helps visitors select from over 80 artists to visit and navigate at their own pace. Come with family, friends, or just by yourself! Convenient ample street parking is available at all locations.
