LONDON, ENGLAND.-Tate Modern presents a landmark festival of entertaining live events, which will take place during the last bank holiday in May. During the day, Tate Modern will be the venue for remarkable performance events like the One Pound Turbo Market, Joan Miró's Puppets, John Cage's Musicircus and the restaging of a revolutionary dance piece by Trisha Brown. They'll also be interactive family activities, a skate ramp, graffiti workshops, art talks and food stalls. Entry to these events is free, so anyone can come along and join in the fun.
In the evening, they'll be unmissable one-off late-night performances by Courtney Pine, DJ Spooky, The Real Tuesday Weld, and Ryoji Ikeda, alva noto and Robert Henke. These events are ticketed, so book now to ensure that you don't miss out.
The festival celebrates the opening of Tate Modern's new Collection displays, which have changed for the first time since the gallery opened. Each day of the four-day festival is themed around one of the four new wings of the displays.
