COPENHAGEN.- The 2006 edition of the Art Copenhagen The Nordic Art Fair 2006 art fair was announced today. Art Copenhagen is the leading Nordic art fair devoted to contemporary and modern art. Last year Art Copenhagen successfully opened as The Nordic Art Fair. Fifty-four leading galleries from Denmark, Norway and Sweden represented 450 established and emerging artists. A high quality selection of paintings, installations, photographs and ceramics were on display to more than 10.000 curators, art dealers, journalist, artists and art collectors, who gathered in this unique meeting place in central Copenhagen.

This year, Art Copenhagen, The Nordic Art Fair presents an ambitious programme of artist talks and interviews where it is possible to debate art, art making and current exhibitions with artists, curators, gallery owners and art critics. As allways Art Copenhagen offers conducted tours with trained art historians and finally Art Copenhagen is proud to present specially commissioned artist projects yet to be revealed. Only Nordic galleries can apply to the fair and participation is by approval by the selection committe only.
