GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY will present their new and quite eclectic Multi-Estates Auction on August 24th at 10am with a focus on contemporary art and decorative arts of all kinds including oil paintings, prints, photographs, bronze, porcelain & ceramic and more.

Roland’s August 24th sale features hundreds of lots in these areas, along with Antique & Vintage Furniture, Textiles, Rugs Collectibles and Asian items, Previews are taking place on Thursday, August 22nd & Friday, August 23rd, 10am – 6pm.


Salvador Dali Changes in Great Masterpieces (5), A nearly complete suite. Estimate $5,000-8,000.


Art highlights will include the Minas Avetisyan (Armenian, 1928-1975), Oil on canvas of a colorful landscape, Minas Avetisyan (Armenian, 1928-1975) oil on canvas with trees, signed lower right, dated 1960, with writings on back, with a Certificate of Authenticity in Cyrillic writing. [Art: 16 1/2' H x 19" W; Frame: 23" H x 26" W]. Est: $8,000 USD - $12,000 and the Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989): "Changes in Great Masterpieces" (5) 1974, A nearly complete suite comprising five works (out of six) pencil signed and numbered (non sequential) out of 350 editions. Includes: Raphael "Le marriage de la Vierge," 99/350; Rembrandt "Portrait du Peintre par lui-meme," 59/350; Velasquez "Le Reddition de Breda," 192/350; Velasquez "Les Menines," 3/350; Vermeer "La Lettre," 40/350. Decorative Arts being offered include an Arman (French/American, 1928-2005) bronze sculpture of Venus, bearing incised signature and numbered 4/99. Estimate $5,000-$7,000, a Manner of Hans Hedberg Ceramic Apple, Realistically modeled ceramic apple in red, orange, yellow and browns, in the manner of Hans Hedberg, marked to base. [4 3/4" x 4 3/8"]. Estimate $1,500-$2,000 and a large Japanese Imperial Meiji Emperor period porcelain bowl/charger, late 19th century. [4 1/4" H x 24 1/4" Diam.]. Estimate 8,000-$10,000.

Others are a large Meissen German Porcelain Potpourri Brule-Parfum, 19th century, with flambeau flame finial above the gilt-accented reticulated dome lid, Marcolini-style paint-decorated details, rams head masks with garland swags to the bowl, the base with blue underglaze sword mark. [12 1/2" H x 12 1/2" Diam.]. Firing crack to lid; crackling and restoration interior; losses to ram horns.
