BIELE/BIENNE, SWITZERLAND.- PhotoforumPasquArt presents Jean-Luc Cramatte Poste mon Amour, on view 27 January - 30 March 2008. Under the title "Poste mon Amour", the photographer Jean-Luc Cramatte depicts the familiar world of Swiss postal offices. Drawn from documentary tradition and conceptual inspiration, his images compile an affectionate and ironic list of these locations voluntarily vacated of all human presence. This first-class artistic witness to the state of a world in full upheaval shows over 150 offices representing equally as many variations of the same space with their particular characteristics. Given its value in terms of cultural heritage, this work received the support of the Swiss Institute for the Conservation of Photography (ISCP).

Jean-Luc Cramatte was born in Porrentruy (CH) in 1959. He lives and works in Fribourg (CH). He has exhibited regularly, notably Retracing Territories at the "Centre d'art contemporain de Fribourg" in 2007, Par-dessus l'épaule de Théodore, a project realised in Rwanda and presented in 2005 at the "Journées photographiques de Bienne", On the Road in 2001 at the "Centre culturel suisse" in Venice as well as at the Museum of History and Art in Fribourg.
