Hermès maintains its place at the top in $3.7+ million Luxury Accessories auction in New York
Hermes Brown Diamond & Matte Havane Alligator Kelly Dog Bracelet. Sold for: $62,500.00.

NEW YORK, NY.- An exceptional and rare Hermès Brown Diamond & Matte Havane Alligator Kelly Dog Bracelet far surpassed its pre-auction buzz by bringing $62,500 to pace Heritage Auctions' $3.7+ million May 5, 2015 Spring Luxury Accessories Signature® Auction at the Fletcher-Sinclair Mansion on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

"It's obviously hard to resist the wonderful and unusual combination of alligator skin and brown diamonds in this bracelet," said Kathleen Guzman, Managing Director of Heritage Auctions New York. "It typified the offerings in the auction and shows that the luxury resale market still continues to show considerable strength."

Collectors were obviously after the top Hermès Kelly handbags in the auction, and none more so than a stunning Hermès 35cm Shiny Rose Scheherazade Porosus Crocodile Sellier Kelly Bag with Palladium Hardware, a striking color in a striking skin in a Kelly bag is not meant for those who want to blend in. Amidst spirited bidding it realized a final price of $52,500.

Other Kelly bags that were the subject of biddings wars included an Hermès 20cm Shiny Vert Fonce Alligator Mini Sellier Kelly Bag with Gold Hardware, in a coveted discontinued size, which realized $45,000, and a very chic Hermès Matte Mais Alligator Kelly Cut Clutch Bag with Gold Hardware Pristine Condition, which brought $40,000.

As always, Hermès Birkins were in demand with bidders, including the $37,500 final price realized for an Hermès 25cm Ombre Ring Lizard Birkin Bag with Palladium Hardware, one of Hermès's rarest materials ever seen and, subsequently, one sparingly seen on the secondary market.

Further highlights include, but are not limited to:

• Hermès 32cm Shiny Black Nilo Crocodile Sellier Kelly Bag with Gold Hardware: Realized $37,500.

• Hermès 18cm Matte Malachite Alligator Double Gusset Constance Bag with Permabrass Hardware: Realized $34,375.

• Hermès Special Order Horseshoe 25cm Bamboo & Blue Abysse Togo Leather Birkin Bag with Gold Hardware: Realized $32,500.

• Hermès Bamboo Swift Leather Kelly Cut Clutch Bag with Palladium Hardware: Realized $30,000.

• Hermès Special Order Horseshoe 30cm Soleil & Iris Epsom Leather Lakers Birkin Bag with Gold Hardware: Realized $21,250.
