ISTANBUL.- Contemporary Istanbul, the regions premier international art fair, announces the list of galleries and participants for its milestone 10th anniversary, including participating in CI Focus: Contemporary Tehran and CI Plugin New Media and Digitals Arts Section of the fair. The fair will take place, as always, at the notable Istanbul Congress Centre and Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 12th to 15th, 2015.
For its 10th edition, Contemporary Istanbul will bring 97 galleries; leading and emerging galleries from 28 cities across 24 countries, including 23 galleries that are participating for the first timeselected by CI Artistic Advisor Marc-Olivier Wahler and the Selection Committee members Freda Rozenbaum-Uziyel, Kerimcan Güleryüz, Nathalie Mamane Cohen.

Plugin, Contemporary Istanbuls section dedicated to new media is now in its 3rd edition. Plugins theme this year is X-CHANGE with an aim to create interactive and transformative relationships between conventional and innovative, physical and digital. Rethinking alternative ways of change; reusing, remixing and revaluing the waste/d and developing the sharing culture through science, art and technology. Plugin will also host new media related game and design labs, makerspaces and studios. Plugins participants this year include: DAM Gallery (Berlin), Ehsan Lajevardi Foundation (Tehran), LICHT FELD Gallery (Basel), Musion (Istanbul), Parkingallery Projects (Tehran), Galeri Zilberman (Istanbul).
Contemporary Istanbuls talk series CI Dialogues 2015 program will explore sessions such as: Art Market, Arts context and Art Management (organized in collaboration with Bloomberg HT), How to curate a Biennial? (Focus on the current tendencies of curatorial practice at biennials), For Challengers: Curating & Collecting New Media Art (realized with the collaboration of Plugin and University of Southampton, Winchester School of Art).
