Where to learn photography in 2021

As the popularity of photography has risen over the past few years, its number of practitioners has also increased. As a result, there are several many different ways to learn about the subject. If you want to get started but don't know how here are some tips.

1.) Video tutorials
Technology has progressed enough that it's now possible to learn many things by watching video tutorials rather than reading books or taking classes. Learning photography is especially useful because it gives you the ability to take in visual content at your own pace.

If you want a structured course, Udemy is a good option. They have a wide selection of courses that are taught in video presentations, and they even offer some for free. Alternatively, YouTube offers many opportunities to learn from amateur photographers who teach their techniques in videos they upload themselves.

2.) Photography clubs and online communities
Becoming a photography club member will give you access to people with experience and knowledge, so it's a great way to learn new techniques.

In terms of online communities, two of the most popular are Reddit's /r/photography subreddit and Flickr's photography section. These sites have everything from casual meetups for photographers in your area too formal critiques and advice.

3.) Online video tutorials on photography-specific websites
There are several sites that specialize in providing video tutorials on photography, including lynda.com and phototuts+. Both of these sites offer a wide variety of courses ranging from beginner to advanced, allowing you to learn at your own pace.

4.) Books and printed materials
Printed materials are not as popular anymore, but they're still worthwhile. They're beneficial because they contain a lot of detail in a single place that you can read over and reference later on. The downside is that they sometimes lack the flexibility to take your learning curve into account.
5.) Schools and workshops

Although this option isn't as accessible as it once was, schools and workshops can give you a lot of practice with real-world setups. You have to pay a pretty penny for the experience, but it could be worth it.

6.) Start taking pictures.
No matter which way you learn, practicing photography is always helpful. Build up your library by capturing as many images as you can. Make sure to keep an eye on the rules of photography, but don't be afraid to break them if it means getting a better shot.

7.) Join photography communities
Just like with video tutorials, there are also many communities online that allow you to learn by talking with other photographers. You can find them on dedicated photography sites or forums for various different types of equipment.

8.) Consider getting professional training
If you're committed to learning everything about photography and want to get set up in the business, consider enrolling in a professional photography program. This option is definitely the most expensive but could give you the best skills and contacts if you're looking to get into related fields like commercial or wedding photography.

9.) Read books on composition
There are lots of different rules that govern how to take good photos, so it's important to learn them well. Find photography composition books to dive in and learn more about the artist's eye.

10.) Keep an eye on changing trends
Being a great photographer isn't just about knowing how to create a good image - it also means being aware of what types of photos are popular at any given time. For example, if you want to photograph weddings or portraits, you'll need to put more thought into the color and lighting of your shots than if you were shooting landscapes.

In conclusion, pay for essays online no matter which way you learn. Being a good photographer requires that you pay attention to the world around you and take lots of pictures.
