An adventure that is about to conclude: Vochol travels to Brussels for its final showing
The itinerary through Europe continues with its presentation in the Palais des Beaux-Arts / Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, Belgium from the 30th of January to the 3rd of March.

BRUSSELS.- After traveling through various cities in the Mexican Republic as well as in San Diego, Washington DC and Denver in the United States, Vochol® undertook yet another adventure which begun the first of September when it was shipped to Houston, Texas to embark on a transatlantic journey which would last 22 days with the Old Continent as its final destination.

From October 2nd to December 2nd of 2012 the Parisian public and foreign visitors had the opportunity to admire this jewel of popular art, symbol of the innovative spirit of the mexican craftsman, in the Musée du quai Branly, hosted by Stéphane Martin, director of the museum also known as the museum of first arts or the museum of arts and civilizations of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas (non-occidental) which each year receives approximately 1.5 million people.

From there it travelled to Germany to present itself from the 5th of December of 2012 to the 5th of January 2013, in the Autostadt, an important automobilistic complex located near the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, a popular setting which attracts around 2 million visitors each year.

In its travels through German territory, Vochol® visited Frankfurt for its exhibition from the 5th to the 29th of January 2013, received by Friedhelm Hütte, Global Head of Art; Christofer Habig, Global Head of Brand Communications and Corporate Citizenship as well as Arturo Montemayor, Managing Director of Deutsche Bank. Its exhibition took place in the Gallery of the Corporate Offices of the Deutsche Bank, known as the “Green Towers”, two buildings 155 metres in height, reopened officially in 2011 following three years of remodelling, where innovational spaces where created for its almost 3 thousand employees, like an area dedicated to harbour an international contemporary art collection. The closing event will take place the 29th of January 2013 at 13:00 hours with the presence of Marie Thérèse Hermand de Arango, lifelong president founder of the Association of friends of the Museum of Popular Art (AAMAP) the principal organisation which promotes this piece of huichol art.

The itinerary through Europe continues with its presentation in the Palais des Beaux-Arts / Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels, Belgium from the 30th of January to the 3rd of March. The opening act will take place Wednesday January 30th at 18:30 hours with the participation of Sonya Santos de Arredondo President of AAMAP, Marie Thérèse Hermand de Arango lifelong founding president and Adriana Salinas, member of the association as well as Paul Dujardin, CEO and Artistic director of BOZAR.

The Palais des Beaux-Arts / Centre for Fine Arts is an art déco architectonic masterpiece by Victor Horta, treasured patrimony of belgium culture, centre for arts and boiling place of many cultural and artistic activities at an international level. Each year more than 250 concerts are presented in its installations, ranging from chamber music to symphonic orchestras making it the headquarters of the national orchestra, dozens of expositions, theatre and dance, as well as visits by writers and filmmakers.
