Tim Triptree MW, Christies International Director of Wine commented: We are thrilled to present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire extremely rare bottles and unique formats of Tignanello, directly from the legendary Tuscan estate. The Tignanello vintages from 1971 to 1989 have recently been verified, reconditioned and recorked, and therefore are in pristine condition and guaranteed to delight the successful buyers. It has been a pleasure to work with the Marchesi Antinori team to bring this remarkable collection to auction to celebrate Tignanellos 50th anniversary.
Piero Antinori continues: This year was very important for me and my family as it gave us the opportunity to pay tribute to a wine that has given us so much over the last 50 years. To end this year on a high note, we are delighted to offer our wine lovers a unique collection of our Tignanello, pulled directly from its cellar, including the extremely rare 1971 first vintage and the en-primeur 2024.
