VERO BEACH, FLA.- The Vero Beach Museum of Art announced today the appointment of Denise Giannino as Public Programs Manager effective September 3rd, 2019.
For the past year, Denise Giannino worked at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, CT, where she designed and planned adult and academic programs for local and regional audiences. Prior to this position, Denise completed a PhD in Art History at the University of Kansas where she dedicated efforts to teaching college students the ways the history of art could enrich their lives. Denise has a Masters in Art History from University College London and a Masters in Art History from Florida State University.
Im excited to be joining the education team at the Vero Beach Museum of Art and engaging with the dynamic range of adult and family programs already in place. I especially look forward engaging with the vibrant community of Vero Beach and interacting with families during programs such as Museum Studios and the Childrens Art Festival, commented Denise Giannino.
Sara Klein, Director of Education at the VBMA said, I am impressed with the breadth of programs Denise produced while at the Wadsworth, her creative approach to aligning programs with exhibitions, and how vigilant she was about keeping audience needs in mind when planning new initiatives. These wonderful qualities will no doubt serve her well at the VBMA.
